Modern agriculture depends on chemicals: pesticides to kill insects, herbicides to kill weeds, antibiotics and hormones given to fatten animals sent to the slaughterhouse. Additives and preservatives are added to make food last longer and retain color or texture.

Yuk!! Who wants to eat so many chemicals? Each meal you eat may contain only a small amount of these artificial substances (most of them untested for safety, by the way), but their impact accumulates over a lifetime.

Solution: choose organic! It’s easier than ever to find – in supermarkets, health food stores, farmers’ markets, and some restaurants.
